Our Pastoral Care team exists to do just that for our church: provide care. This can look several different ways, some of which are partnering in prayer, walking beside a couple as they approach marriage, or showing up & sitting with a family who has lost a loved one. If these stir your heart, we would love for you to consider the following opportunities:
Serve families grieving the loss of a loved one in a compassionate manner. Serving opportunities are frequent and flexible and each serve is typically 2-3 hours with additional opportunities available. Tasks may include: providing assistance to the family setting up the chapel, welcoming guests and providing direction for seating, assisting the family as they leave our campus, and resetting the chapel/reception room post-service.Available at All Campuses
Our church believes in the power of prayer. We have teams of people who pray on campus or at home. Willow's Service Response Teamis available after services to pray 1 on 1 with those seeking prayer and offer assistance in determining next steps. We also have two teams who serve from home. Our Intercessory Prayer Team prays from home over the requests we receive.Our Virtual Wednesday Night Prayer Team covers church-wide initiatives as a group on Wednesday evenings.Available at All Campuses
Help prepare couples for the lifelong journey of marriage through two-on-two sessions of premarital counseling and assist in pre-marriage workshops. In order to prepare you for these counseling sessions, you will be trained on a faith-based curriculum that will help guide you through conversations on specific topics, such as the meaning of marriage, faith, communication, budgeting, and sex. We are looking for couples with good listening skills, a willingness to enter into sometimes difficult and delicate conversations, and a strong desire to help couples begin their new lives together in a healthy, Christ-centered way. Premarital counseling usually runs 6-8 weeks and workshops vary based on availability.Available at All Campuses
Rebuild helps participants who are experiencing grief gain practical tools for navigating the loss of a loved one. Facilitators thoughtfully guide participants through table discussion after hearing large group teaching. Leaders will serve at tables of specific loss types experienced by the leader. Example: Child Loss, Parent Loss, Spouse Loss, or Family/Friend Loss. Prerequisite: Must have attended Rebuild as a participant.Available at All Campuses
Host the bride & groom as they celebrate their expression of love through the wedding ceremony. Serving opportunities are frequent and flexible and each serve is typically 3 - 4 hours. Tasks may include: providing assistance to the family setting up the chapel, assisting the bride and groom with any last minute needs, welcoming guests and providing direction for seating, assisting the family as they leave our campus, and resetting the chapel/reception room post-service.Available at All Campuses
