Listening in an Age of Distraction

Listening lies at the heart of a life with God. Jesus said, "My sheep listen my voice; I know them, and they follow me." We often live as if Jesus speaks only in set apart times of devotion, prayer, and worship, but what if Jesus is speaking to us in the midst of our everyday lives? Our lives are so full of screens, advertisements, noise, and distraction that it is incredibly difficult to hear the still, small voice of God. If we are truly going to live the with God life, we must be willing to cultivate a listening life.

At this one-day conference, Renovaré teachers Trevor Hudson and Lacy Borgo will guide us in a day of listening to the gentle whisper of Jesus. We will grow in awareness of the way God speaks in our lives and learn practices to cultivate a listening life and live more fully in God's loving presence.
